Letter from the Past: Alexion's Testimony and Will Empty
PostSubject: Letter from the Past: Alexion's Testimony and Will   Letter from the Past: Alexion's Testimony and Will I_icon_minitimeWed Jan 07, 2009 5:58 am

The northern summer sun beat down heavily on the ancient yet immaculately maintained castle belonging to the honoured family de stryke. A tired and travel worn messenger rode up to the castle gates.

“Who goes there? State ye’ name and business or be gone!” shouted down from the ramparts a burly sergeant of the personal guard of the family.

The bedraggled man looked to the heavens and said something in French, then waved a ring with the personal arms of Alexion.

The sergeant frowned and hailed the man enter, where he was searched for weapons and relieved of a short sword and dagger. He was then escorted the man to James the butler.

Sometime later, after the Frenchman was rested and fed, James and he had a heated conversation in French that raised the brows of many a serf. James bid the man thank you and took a heavily weighted letter from the man.

James then proceeded to the family council chambers and left it on the table as it was addressed to his entire family. The oddity, James thought, was that this letter was written a year before his death, yet had instructions to be delivered, from France of all places, where it was written, on this very day.

A sober mood took James as he headed for his next task.

The Letter read:

Quote :

Dearest beloved family,

Please do not be distressed or upset when you read this letter, but as I sit here penning my thoughts, I have a need to let you know my will and testimony.

I have pondered many a time if my actions would cause my downfall. If you are receiving this letter, then my fears must have been justified, as I will no longer be amongst the living and watching over you all from above in a better place...I hope anyway.

In this life that was mine, I spent countless hours and days preparing for the events that would change the very England we live in. For this, I have had to forgo honour, in many places and spoken falsehoods to those I cared for, to do my sacred duty to the people of England, friends and above all, you all, my family.

For all this, I have had one constant in my life. My wife and child, my family that has always stood by me, for good and bad. For these things I thank you all with every fibre of my being.

You will hear many rumours about me in the future, some less than good, some shocking. Don’t believe everything you hear. I have joined the WoS organization to gleam information for the honoured Earl Marshal on their movements. I was never a true wolf.

My Will and Testimony

Esther: My darling wife. We had been separated for many years, yet we are now, once again complete and together. You have given me the strength to fight another day, and for this reason I do what is meant to be done. My heart will forever be yours.
Hagman: Brother, You have been a pillar of unyielding justice and truth. By your actions and words, you have given me great council and sense of good and evil over the years. Your words have always hit home and I thank you for that.

Caitilin: Sister, to me, you have been the very existence of an innocent heart with a lions roar. You are gentle and fierce in every way and never lose that innocence of spirit and soul that makes you unique. You have taught me much.

Marque: Brother, with this I smile as I write. We have often debated the meaning of honour and virtue, but I believe in my heart, that you have both in abundance. Your honesty has gotten you into trouble with those that wish to hide the truth and I applauded you for your convictions most strongly. Never bend to others when you know you are right.

Cedric (Lnzlee): Brother, you have always brought a smile to my face. You have brightened even the darkest days with your antics and laughter. Thank you for always making me smile and lifting my spirits.

Wraithe: Brother, you have been a pillar of determination and duty. Fight for justice and freedom always and never let that fierce fighting spirit waver.

Baldar: Brother, you have been a friend before you were my brother. Thank you for our conversations and loyalty.

Gregarious: The man I would call father if I could. You have shown me much in my life. Your council has been wise and sage. Thank you for all you have done and said to me, your faith in me was solid and sobered me to my task. Thank you for everything my liege.

Everything that is mine or was is yours now my family. I apologies for the pain and suffering I might have caused you all. You are the best people with the purest hearts and souls in England and I am sorry if I hurt any of you. Live long and prosper. I love you all.

With faith,
Alexion de Stryke

(OOC: I have had some difficulties in my real life, so that is the reasons for ending my life as Alexion. I have not been consistent in my game play either and that distresses me. I will return one day in a different life and make up all my mistakes to you all. God bless you and take care.)

"Thank you, James, for reading such a difficult letter." Esther retreats to her room to grieve some more.
