The castle on the hill.

Ayleth had been walking for quite a while now. Every few minutes or so she checked the note with directions to his family's castle that Jonnie had sent her.

It doesn't matter. Stop checking so often. I'm not going to see anything until these trees thin out!

So she kept following the path, one foot after another.

Eventually the path began to be more defined. Well at least this looks like a road now she thought to herself.

I swear, it can't be much further or I'm going to have to sleep in this forest she mumbled to herself. Either way, I need to keep going.

CRACK!

Aaargh! she screamed. My ankle!

Ayleth sat on the ground, trying not to cry as she looked at her foot. Oh I've definitely twisted it!

She tried to stand. Ow ow ow ow! Ok I need a stick.

Limping around she searched desperately for a crutch.

Baldar had rode out of the castle with some of the guards, as they entered the forest, he could here someone moan , as he neered the direction the voice came from, he could tell it was of a damsal-

Guards spread out and find the Lady.

Agrh! There's a man behind me. Turning round, Ayleth looked at the armed man and her mind thought back to the war. Must stay calm. Perhaps it's nothing. I'll be ok.

Hello Sir. I must have tripped on something while I was walking down the path. I'll be fine. She took a step and crumpled to the floor. Maybe not fine. I've hurt my ankle when I fell. I was looking for a stick to use as a crutch, to help me walk she gestured around the forest but I couldn't find one.

Ayleth took the offered arm and stood up.

She looked confused for a second Erm... One moment.

Looking again at the note, she asked That's where I'm headed. Jonnie sent me this note with directions. Are you his father, Sir?

She wobbled slightly.

Jonnie stood on the Castle wall watching and waiting. he had told Ayleth the directions to the castle before he left on the trip and hoped she could read his messy writing. "i sure hope she did not get lost" He mumbled to the bird on his shoulder. The bird looked at him as if she understood and just sat there waiting with her human.
