Bonilp went directly to the conference room for ambassadors and and diplomatic representatives, apparently he was the first.
The room was ready and he looked out to find a place not far from the exit and where he could see if other ambassadors entered the room.
What an exciting meeting is going on ! He feels very honoured to be here and hope to have the opportunity to establish as many diplomatic contacts as he can. . . Cool

Layne makes her way to the conference room, after taking the day off from her duties at Chester's Embassy. She looks around the room and see's only one other person. England, not that far from France but Keridil never crossed the sea before this day. He wished his young wife could have come with him, but as a burgundian diplomat, she couldn't be next to the Orleans' Chamberlain.
Observing every part of the architectury being quite different of the french one, the young man never felt this way before. People, dressings, walls and houses, nothing was the same, but he liked that.
After having a short rest, trying to speak a correct english in front of his mirror, with some success eventually.
Time going by, the son of the Duke of Orleans, who he was, decided to go to the conference room for the Ambassadors.

Marie swept into the room to see to the needs of Lord and Lady de Lusignon's guests, the swoosh of her long black shirts was a soft whispering herald of her presence. The head maid curtsied to Lord Bonilp, Lady Westlake, Lord Keridil and Lord d'Aragorna,

Excellencies, I am at your service. If there is anything you desire, please pull the bell cord and someone will attend.

Bonilp heard kind words pronounced by the Loyal Family Servant Marie and he fill a little bit hungry, so he try to pull the bell cord for asking some fruits, if are available, to stop his hanger, waiting that the rest of Diplomatics attend to the room.

So he pull the cord and heard the bell sound . . .

Lord Rothar, nice to meet you. Siena is in Italy. in the centre part. We live in an Independent Republic of only 4 town, Siena the Capital, Gorsseto, Sant Fiora and Orbetello, where there is a lake and a newborn Port. We are not far form Florence, but Florence is the capital of a different republic.

I live in the 2nd oldest County in Ayr County, it sits mainly on the western side of scotland, and looking over at north of ireland.
Ayr County has 2 sea towns, township of Girvan and Largs, a wood town called Muirkirk, and Ayr capital is our main sea port (level 2).

Ayr is reknown for the scenic coastal walk of Scotland, we get many travellers, while Glasgow County is north of us, Galloway county
borders on the edge of England. We are a haven for fisherman, and tourists a like.

My condolences with the loss of Gabrielle, I once escorted her through Stafford
when she was regent. She was a courageous woman and she will be missed by all.

Thanks to you, lord Rothar, for our country and for me too, is a great pleasure to meet Ambassadors from English kingdom, Scotland and Ireland, now a day we do not have any friendship (or commercial) agreement with English speaking country, and I hope this could be a great opportunity. Smile

Keridil smiled when he saw the behaviour of the Ayr's Chancellor. Poor Yiana, she was almost novice in term of Diplomacy, and even Keridil did not know every english manners. In French, when a man kneels in front of a woman, it's only to ask for an engagement.
Looking at his friend, he went to her.

Excellency, I see you're already making partners for our Duchy, bravo !

And he also kissed her hand before turning to Rothar.

Excellency, If I may present myself, I'm Keridil, Chamberlain of Orleans, and it's very nice to meet you. This meeting is a wonderful idea isn't it ?
As you might know, our Duchy is close to Paris, it's a small region, having only five cities but we're a powerful center of decision in the kingdom and in the royal domain in which we stand.

Seeing the Chancellor was taking a pear, the french one looked at what Marie was showing and chose an orange.

Marie smiled at the gentleman from Orleans and curtsied to Lord Rose. It is a pleasure to serve, my Lords. She went to Ladies Westlake and Yiana to see if there was anything they needed. She had the sideboard set with tea and many fine wines and whiskeys. She turned to a portly lad that had carried in the wines, Anthony you will remain and see to the comfort of his Lordship's guests. The lad nodded and took up his station.

As Marie departed to see to the rest of the house, Lady Caitilin entered. She curtsied. Is everything in order, Marie? Cait looked around smiling at her guests. Aye m'Lady. Thank you Marie. I don't know what we would do without you. Marie hurried out to check on the other guests and see to dinner.

Yiana was surprised enough when the Chancellor of Ayr County put on knees in front of her. She greeted him, didn't prevent of English manners .
She greeted him and answered :

Enchanted Excellence. I believed to understand that you come from the Scotland. It is an honor to meet you.

Then, Keridil spoke:

Excellency, I see you' re already making partners for our Duchy, bravo!

Vice - chamberlain of Orleans smiles by hearing this last one.
When Marie passed, she took a pear with pleasure and listened to the conversation, intrigued.

Caitilin entered the conference room. Welcome my Lord and Ladies. Many of you already know me and my husband, Baldar, the Vice Chancellor of the Royal Embassy. We have worked together in the past or are already good friends. Lady Westlake, it is a pleasure to see you again under better circumstances. Father Deekay, it is a delight to have you in our home and Roth it is always good to see you. You have been away from England too long, my friend.

Cait turned her attentions to the representatives from Italy and France. Signori Giacomo e Bonilp, il mio benvenuto a Castle de Stryke. Spero che i tuoi viaggi sono stati buoni e che sono state fatte bene qui. Forgive me if my Italian is poor. I have not had much time to study properly. I have been to your beautiful country with my husband on a few occasions. He is the ambassador to the Italian provinces. I had the pleasure of visiting Venice and Genoa with Baldar. She turned and addressed their French guests repeating her greeting. Mademoiselle Yiana et Seigneur Keridil, je vous souhaite la bienvenue au château de Stryke. J'espère que votre voyage étaient bonnes et que vous avez été fait à l'aise ici. I apologize if my French in not well spoken. I hope one day to visit France now that ships sail the high seas.

Anthony stepped forward with a tray of different wines and whiskeys. Cait chose a small cup of the local mead and sipped it slowly.

The purpose of this meeting is to come together in friendship, to cement relationships in the world as we know it. Our is hope to get to know one another and to build trust among the nations. Baldar and I offer our home as a place where you can come and discuss economy, trade and defense of our homelands. Please feel free to visit as often as you like. When she finished, Caitilin raised her cup. Cheers!

Milady, your Italian is perfect, you should come a little bit more to the south and visit Tuscany (the region where Siena is) and have the opportunity to taste Italian Tuscany red wine:
Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti dei colli Senesi, vino NObile di Montepulciano. . .

And watching the other lords and lady present in the room, Bonilp says:

Bry followoed the rest of the group and started to talk with some people; he was especially looking forwart to having a nice talk with Deekay, who he had not see for months! He entered the huge room and took a chair. Then, while listening to the different ambassadors, he took a look on the other side, and smiled to Keridil, a good chancellor if there are any.

Then, presenting himself as the Chancellor of Champagne, he started to chat with other ambassadors. Meanwhile, he wondered what was the purpose of this summit.

Machteld made the trip to England and stayed at a local Inn. After enjoying her first English breakfast, she took her notes and was ready to go. The ride in the carriage to the castle was relaxing and Maggy enjoyed the English countryside.

At the castle, she was brought to the conference room. She smoothed her dress and entered the room. Lady Caitilin was in the middle of a speech, so Machteld waited politely until she was finished. Meanwhile she took a glas of wine from the tray, presented to her and listened to the hostess' kind words. The room was filled with people she never met before. When finished, Machteld stepped forward and introduced herself.

Good morning Lady Caitilin ... Your Excellencies, I'm Machteld van Eckhardt Connor, Chancellor of Holland.
