Arrival to the International Conference.

Baldar had given orders to the Guards to prepare for the visitors that would arrive. Rooms were ready and Baldar walked and checked that all was prepared.

Reyn followed his liege Lord to the gatehouse.  His steps in time with Lord Baldar's.  He stood a respectful distance behind the Lord of the castle and bowed to Lord Baldar and the arriving Castellan Duke.  My liege, if I can be of service to your guests, I am at your command.

Thanks Reynard, could you please make sure that the Squires and Guards are in order so has to protect our guests, and asist them.

Sir Reynard stepped up and bowed to his liege Lord, Lord Baldar. As you wish my Lord.  He greeted the Ambassador of the Republic of  Genoa, who seemed to be a very good friend of Lord Baldar's.  Reyn opened the carriage door for Her Highness Countess Anne-Solenn Wolback and bowed.  Welcome to Castle de Stryke, your Grace.  Quarters are prepared for each and refreshments are waiting for you there.  Reynard turned to the gent and lady who arrived next and bowed respectfully.  Welcome, my Lord and your Grace.  You are most welcome to my liege Lord's home.  If you require anything, freely ask and it will be provided.

It had been a long time since Sara had visited the castle.  She couldn't even remember the purpose of her last visit it had been that long.  Sara was spending more and more time away from home.  If she wasn't home she was at the Mercia Embassy, the Royal Embassy or the Keep of the Knights of England and for a time, at County council every day.  Where she had the time and energy to do it all, she did not know.

A tap on the hood of her carriage from her footman informed her Ladyship that the Castle was near.  Peeking out the window she saw it roll into view.  As the carriage came to a stop, Sara double checked she hadn't lost her invite.  Accepting the awaiting hand from the footman, she stepped out.

Lady Sara Jane de Phoenix-Mortimer, Chancellor of the Mercia Embassy.  I am here for the conference.  She informed.

Lady Caitilin had joined her husband, Chancellor Baldar to greet their guests.  She gave Luciano a hug and smiled at their long time friend. It is good to see you again, dear Luciano. I would like to welcome you all to Castle de Stryke and the conference.  Discussions have not started in earnest so no one is late.  If you would like to refresh and rest, rooms have been prepared and food and drink provided.  When you are ready, please join us in the Conference Center May our work here benefit all with safety and prosperity.

Sir Reynard bowed low with a sweep of his large feathered hat. Bienvenue ma Dame, à la Coference au château de Stryke. He hoped he had not disgraced his liege Lord by murdering the French language too much.

Spotting the Castle in the distance Cazaure stops to rest and compose himself. It was quite the journey from Glasgow and one which he couldn't just stop in any inn along the way due to the recent war. Even with a truce and possible treaty in the works it wouldn't be wise for any Glaswegian to let their guard down especially one which was involved in the war.

After a little time deep in thought Caz picks himself up and dusts off his clothes and makes sure his sword is still secure on his hip. Checking his hidden daggers are still in place he picks up his sack and continues toward the castle. Caz could have travelled with a retinue but he prefers to be alone, people can cause problems and he'll sooner trust his own arm and sword before trusting someone else to watch his back.

Finally reaching the castle Caz approaches a guard and introduces himself.

"Greetings, I have come for the trade conference." Caz produces the letter his Duke received and hands it to the guard.

"My name is Cazaure, The Duke of Glasgow is unfortunately unable to attend. I am the Trade minister of Glasgow and I have come in his stead."

Hoping that his arrival instead of the Dukes wont cause any problems he waits for admittance into the castle.
