| Val1 heard the conversation and just spoke again :
Lady Ikalein, you mention that our King cannot sign a treaty for the whole kingdom, yes, he can with the help of his advisors for the correct text. The problem is the same as you have in the English Embassy, we cannot sign any treaty related to trade or justice as lord Baldar mentionned. You can imagine that the Hgh Court of Justice in France has only power to the appelation court. Every county has to sign it own treaty and sometimes it can take several months to be correct.
Wha I can say from my own county is that depending of the duke in charge of the council, judicial treaties can come back to you after some weeks only with a negative answer, which is a real pity. Trade treaties can be accepted and will be accepted now as the different trade routes open, this can be with you, Scotland, Ireland, the SRING or Venice just to name a few. Why ? Because we can add some arguments for level 4, possibility to travel by boat, use the rivers which was not possible before.
So to summarize, the French Royal Embassy can sign any recognition treaty fo example dipliomatc treaty, any kind of help also, but related to trade or justice, sorry, but I think we all have the same rules. So as our colleage GabyC said, we will have to sign a treaty between our counties which are 27 if I am not wrong and with all your counties, meaning a lot of treaties. Lord Sindbad explained it very simply, he is travelling around the French Kingdom to help the local embassies in order to allow us, either to help with the transaltion, the contacts and to start being a pivot for any problem. This is also why we are here, the three of us.
So the treaty from the German SRING is quite close of what we normally have but the Venitian treaty has to be a bit developped. This is not a problem of laws just a problem of contents. And do not forget, we will have 27 different points of view, 27 way to act, 27 results. And from your side, the same will happen but in a lower level as your country is not so extended.
We can find a basis which has to be adapted in any case and not only for the county close to the seashore but also for the others. |

| Emmy speaks, "Lord Finn, If you must we each craft one to our own laws and we bring both into meetings, Where we can merge the two treaties together. It may help resolve some issues." |

| Alys has listened attentively to everything that was being said, and she read both of the Treaties that were before her. She took a smile sip of wine, as many thoughts ran through her head. Then she gathered those thoughts into the words she wanted to us. Each word was carefully chosen, so that she could present her thoughts clearly. "Perhaps we should try for something simpler than the treaties that are before us. It seems that what we wish to do is establish Safe Ports for shipping and safe land travel for those merchants who are traveling. Once we have this treaty approved, because I see nothing wrong in starting off with a simple Treaty, then we can met again and try to add to it slowly as we see how this very simple Treaty works. I do like much of the German treaty. Such an addition will make it clear that neither Robbery nor Piracy will be tolerated. Perhaps we can adjust the wording of it so that it breaks no laws of any other Kingdom."
She then took a deep breath and translated her words into French. "
Alys turned her attention to Lady Ikalein and gave her and those who travelled with her a warm smile. "Please forgive me if my German is poor. It is a new language to me. "
Once she finished her translations, Alys took a sip of wine. She hoped that her hours of study would pay off in helping to keep things clear as she presented her thoughts to the group. |

| Mi Lords and Ladies,
we seem to agree that a treaty of trade, and other treaties are needed, As Lady Alys i'R says
a simple treaty to establish safe ports and travel, something that does not conflict with national or County laws.
Most people seem to like the German treaty, and the French seem to have a similar one. may be we can come up with one which pleases everybody. Here we have experienced people, diplomats, the best RK have. lets work together, to make this true. lets use what we have, modify and construct. It will take time Rome was not built in a day, but I am sure that we hear can come up with something to take to our Leaders.

| Caitilin smiled up at Baldar, thinking. Dreams do come true. Look at the great people assembled here.
We are here to perform the impossible task of pleasing everyone and I believe we can do that here.

| Lady Emmy speaks softly," Lord Baldar, The German treaty itself has immunity in it, in which i recommend we evaluate against our laws and determine the best course of action. Our laws don`t allow much in wayfare, but i think the hol and hop can craft something useful." Emmy smiles at the thought. |

| Deekay cleared his throat and spoke "Forgive me - I wonder if we are starting from the wrong end.
We may do better trying to agree some principles and then incorporating them into a treaty, if they can be agreed either by us or the parties we represent.
The potential headings seem to be Trade Judicial Non-aggression Mutual defence Cultural
Some of these will be easier than others and some may never be agreed" |

| Sindbad thought quickly and answered :
I agree with the potential headings mentionned, as they are bricks of mutual and profitable relations.
However, regarding the Kingdom of France, and as previously mentionned by HE Val1, Trade and Judicial treaties can be negotiated only by French Counties, while mutual defence is up to the Royal Crown to decide.
Putting them together in the same treaty would make it impossible to accept by both the Crown and the Counties.
Therefore, the bad news is we will have to handle these topics separately, hence my need of access to English Counties' diplomacy. |

| My Lord Sinbad, I was hoping that the Ambassadors from all of the English counties would be present here. Today I will send a special messenger to the Dukes, requesting there ambassadors attend directly. I would hate to see this opportunity pass for mutual trade talks.
Caitilin retired to her private office to send the letters.

| Val1 spoke again :
As my colleague said, this will be a huge task, we have 27 counties in France, each one will have to sign a trade treaty and a judicial treaty, which means 54 treaties just for France, now each county in England will have to do the same.
But we can for the moment base our conference in mutal defence, non aggression and cultural. And for the last poin, it will depend of the content, and maybe will have to be signed by the counties themselves.
I can translate it en Français oder Deutsch wie Sie es wollen. So far the problem is going to be the same with the othercountries I think, what about our representatives from Scotland, Serbia, and the other countries ? |

| She smiled softly. "I think perhaps I have the easiest job as I represent Chonnacht. However, I was sent specifically to negotiate Trade agreements as a starting point, with specific instructions to try and avoid those very three topics. I was able to persuade my Council that we should do non-aggression. Without the first, the trade agreements would be impossible to negotiate. Lord Val, what do you mean by Cultural Exchange? That could mean many things and would like to be certain that I relay back the correct interpretation. Our isolation from everyone else does make things a bit more difficult." |

| Cait returned to the room and took a seat next to Baldar. She leaned close and whispered. My love, I have sent messages to all of the counties to request their attendance. I hope they will take advantage of this great opportunity. She sipped from her goblet. | |

| "I see I'm just in time for the feast hmm?" James strides in and eyes the castle. "I apologize for my late arrival. I was only informed of it yesterday." Giving a polite nod to the rest of the lords and ladies in the room, "I'm James York, current Duke of Somerset. I do go by another name...(Fateofdreams if you wish to mail me)"
As a page boy came over to pass him a transcript of past conversations, James took a moment to read on before smiling to the rest of the guests and hosts. "If I may say, by the time any such agreement and discussion is done, many counties would've exchanged seat of power. It would be most difficult indeed." |

| baldar sees the Duke of Somerset enter Welcome Lord James, to castle de Stryke, aye you are in time to eat, and afterwards we carry on with the discussion. - James York wrote:
- "If I may say, by the time any such agreement and discussion is done, many counties would've exchanged seat of power. It would be most difficult indeed."
Tis true My Lord, but if it is never started, nothing happens, and if bases are put in order, then future governments take it on and continue.

| Draco had been taking notes without saying a word, just listening to the rest of the diplomatic representatives; the conference was very interesting and a great opportunity to learn about the rest of Europe indeed. When he heard about the break, he smiled shortly, after his stomached grumbled; time had passed quickly, and it was time to eat something and rest his mind for a while. He stood up, waiting for the ladies to leave the room first.
-"Let's see how good food is here..." he thought |

| Deekay had heard rumours of the cook who served Stryke Castle. Supposedly a Regent had tried to bribe them to go to London. The food should be excellent.
He had also heard that Lord Baldar tutored his ambassadors in wine tasting and hoped it was true.
Choice would be interesting if he wasn't to offend any of his guests. It was a shame that England produced so little quality wine.
He stood and smiled at Draco, as they watched the Ladies lead the way. |

| Alys rose from her seat and stretched. She was far used to being more active and found this sitting to be tiresome. Her mind had always worked better when she was moving about. Her bright smile quietly thanked the gentlemen who waited for her as she exited the room, to first go upstairs and check on her son, then to join the others in the dining room. |

| Cirdan made the long boat trip that separated the site of the castle of his Kingdom native. Three days of hard travel were required to attend this important invitation.
The opportunity not only to meet in person to the Chancellor and his representative, the glorious Kingdom of England, if not of the other guests who went to this wonderful dinner.
I'm late as usual .... but was more than justified, because his wife was about to give birth until the last moment did not know whether to attend or not.
Upon arrival at the castle gates showed the invitation to the guards and expect to be treated ... |

| The Captain of the Guards, accompanies Lord Cirdan in the castle and gives the invitation to a page,
The page runs and entering the dinning room tells Lord Baldar, Make his Eccellency enter and show him his rooms where he might want to refresh himself and then join us in the dinning room.
The page runs to follow his orders.

| Excelencia Cirdan, bienvenidos al castillo de Stryke. Caitilin greeted the ambassador from Valencia. I am glad you could be here. I know your presence here will be a benefit to both our kingdoms. Take some time to rest and then join us for dinner. The conference will continue after. You will have the opportunity to meet with the other ambassadors from Europe and make good friends. Cait curtsied to her counter part.

"Oh, do you know how happy I am to meet you in person finally perfect Castilian is yours, you ought not to worry, for I can attend the reunion as soon as possible, I think I'm late, so I will do you expect more, I follow. |
